FriendRex communities are spaces where people connect over movies, TV shows, and entertainment. These guidelines apply to every community on FriendRex — whether public or private, free or paid. Community creators may set additional rules for their communities, but these platform guidelines always take precedence.
The short version: Be kind, be respectful, and keep FriendRex a safe place for everyone. If you wouldn't say it to someone's face, don't say it here.
The following are strictly prohibited across all of FriendRex. Violations result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement where required by law.
Any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors is absolutely prohibited. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming behavior, solicitation of minors, or any content that sexualizes people under 18. We report all such content to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement.
Content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic is prohibited.
Credible threats of physical violence, encouragement of self-harm, terrorism, or content that promotes dangerous organizations is prohibited. This includes doxxing — sharing someone's private information (address, phone number, workplace) without consent.
Content that promotes, facilitates, or coordinates illegal activity is prohibited. This includes drug trafficking, weapons sales, fraud, hacking, piracy, and any other criminal conduct.
Sharing intimate images or videos of someone without their consent is prohibited, including "revenge porn" and AI-generated intimate imagery of real people.
These rules maintain healthy communities. Violations are handled through escalating enforcement (warnings, mutes, kicks, bans) depending on severity and frequency.
Do not target, bully, or systematically harass other users. This includes repeated unwanted contact, intimidation, coordinated pile-ons, brigading other communities, and using alt accounts to evade blocks or bans.
Do not post repetitive, misleading, or unsolicited promotional content. Do not use communities primarily for advertising, affiliate links, or commercial solicitation unless the community creator explicitly allows it.
Do not pretend to be another person, brand, or organization. Parody or fan accounts must be clearly labeled as such.
Sexually explicit or gratuitously violent content is not permitted in any community that allows members under 18. Communities marked as age-restricted (18+) may allow mature content within legal limits, but must still comply with all Platform Rules above.
Do not knowingly spread false information that could cause real-world harm, including health misinformation, election misinformation, or fabricated emergencies.
Respect copyright and intellectual property. Do not share pirated content, leaked unreleased media, or content you do not have the right to distribute. We comply with the DMCA and respond to valid takedown notices. See our Terms of Service for DMCA procedures.
Community creators on FriendRex take on important responsibilities. By creating a community, you agree to:
You must ensure your community complies with all Platform Rules (Section 1). You cannot create rules that override or weaken platform rules. If platform-violating content appears in your community, you must remove it promptly or report it.
Every community must have visible rules that members can review before joining. You can use our pre-built templates or write custom rules. Rules must not conflict with platform guidelines.
You are responsible for moderating your community or appointing trusted moderators to help. Communities that are consistently unmoderated and accumulate violations may be archived or removed by FriendRex.
If you run a paid community, you must deliver on the benefits promised to paying members. Banning a paying member requires a documented, valid reason tied to rule violations. Patterns of unjustified bans of paying members will be reviewed by FriendRex.
If your community allows members aged 13-17, you must ensure all content is age-appropriate. Communities with mature content must be marked as age-restricted (18+). Teen creators are automatically assigned family-friendly rule templates.
You must respond to member reports within a reasonable timeframe (24 hours recommended). DMCA takedown notices must be addressed within 24 hours or FriendRex will remove the content directly.
Moderators are entrusted with tools to maintain community health. With this authority comes responsibility:
Members can report moderator abuse to the community creator. If the creator is the problem, members can report directly to FriendRex through the in-app report system.
Every FriendRex user agrees to:
Community creators and moderators handle violations of their community rules using escalating enforcement:
| Level | Action | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Warning | Notification sent to user. Logged in violation history. |
| 2 | Mute | Temporary restriction from sending messages (1hr to 7 days). |
| 3 | Kick | Removed from community. Can rejoin if community is open. |
| 4 | Ban | Permanently removed. Cannot rejoin. Logged with reason. |
FriendRex reserves the right to take action that overrides community-level decisions when necessary:
Users who are banned from multiple communities for similar violations may face platform-level review. Patterns of harmful behavior across communities can result in platform-wide suspension or termination.
FriendRex is committed to protecting users under 18. The following protections apply to all teen users (ages 13-17).
If you believe a minor is being contacted inappropriately or exposed to harmful content on FriendRex, please report it immediately using the in-app report system or email support@friendrex.app.
If you believe a community moderation action (warning, mute, kick, or ban) was unjust, you may appeal to the community creator. Appeals are reviewed within 72 hours. The creator's decision is final for community-level actions, unless the action itself violates platform guidelines.
If your account has been suspended or terminated by FriendRex, you may submit an appeal to appeals@friendrex.app. Include your username, a description of the action taken, and why you believe it was incorrect. Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days. Decisions regarding CSAM, credible threats, and illegal activity are final and not subject to appeal.
If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it:
All reports are confidential. We do not reveal the identity of reporters to the reported user or community moderators. Abuse of the report system (false reporting, coordinated mass reporting) is itself a violation of these guidelines.
We may update these guidelines as our platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use of FriendRex after changes constitutes acceptance. We encourage you to review these guidelines periodically.
