This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a binding legal agreement between you and Friend Rex LLC, a California limited liability company. This Agreement is not between you and Apple Inc., Google LLC, or any other third-party platform provider. By downloading, installing, or using the FriendRex application ("App"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
Friend Rex LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes. This license is personal to you and may not be shared, sold, or transferred to any other person or entity.

The App and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio) are owned by Friend Rex LLC, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The names "FriendRex" and associated logos and graphics are trademarks of Friend Rex LLC. You may not use these trademarks without prior written consent from Friend Rex LLC.
The App includes data from The Movie Database (TMDB) and uses AI models from OpenAI, Google (Gemini) and Anthropic for Rex, our AI companion. This third-party content is provided "as is" without any warranties or guarantees. Friend Rex LLC is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of third-party content and disclaims all liability for any damages arising from the use of such content.
You retain all ownership rights to any content you create or submit through the App ("User Content"). However, by using the App, you grant Friend Rex LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and improving the App. This license includes the right to use your User Content in promotional materials.
In particular, the license you grant covers FriendRex's right to composite watermarks, logos, attribution, and a short branded end-card animation onto downloaded or exported copies of your videos. See our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for full details, including how to disable downloads of your videos by other users.
Friend Rex LLC reserves the right to update, modify, enhance, or discontinue the App or any portion thereof at any time, with or without notice. Updates may be automatically installed on your device without your prior consent. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of such changes.
The App offers a Pro tier subscription and in-app purchases. These are governed by Friend Rex LLC's Subscription Policy and the terms and conditions of the app store through which you purchased. Subscriptions and purchases are non-transferable and non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
This EULA is between you and Friend Rex LLC, not between you and Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App and is not a party to this Agreement. You acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and have the right to enforce its terms. You agree to comply with all Apple App Store terms and conditions.
This EULA is between you and Friend Rex LLC, not between you and Google LLC. Google is not responsible for the App and is not a party to this Agreement. You acknowledge that Google and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and have the right to enforce its terms. You agree to comply with all Google Play Store terms and conditions.
Your use of the App is governed by Friend Rex LLC's Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your personal information.
Friend Rex LLC may terminate this Agreement and your license immediately, without notice, if you violate any provision of this Agreement. Upon termination, your license ceases and you must delete all copies of the App from all devices in your possession or control.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. FRIEND REX LLC MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE APP WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL FRIEND REX LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, OR OTHER LOSSES. FRIEND REX LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR IN-APP PURCHASES IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR (B) FIFTY DOLLARS ($50).
The App is subject to U.S. export control laws, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). You agree not to export or re-export the App to prohibited countries or to entities on U.S. government restricted lists.
If you are using the App on behalf of the U.S. Government, the App is classified as "commercial computer software" and "commercial computer software documentation" as defined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). As such, the App is licensed with only those rights granted to other commercial licensees.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.
